Abstract: The Recent Evolution of Health Consciousness and Relating Studies
After outlining the recent evolution of thermalism and geographic literature concerning it, the editor of this issue analyses the tools which allow to evaluate the quality of poles and local systems oriented towards responsible development of such functions. The issue was discussed at a conference held in Portoferraio (Island of Elba) on 25-27 September 2009.
