Turismo e Sviluppo locale sostenibile nel Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni: Progetto MaP
Abstract: Polyhedral Maps – A Project on Sustainable Tourism and Local Development in Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburini National Park
With the project MaP – Mappe Poliedriche (Polyhedral Maps) we want to offer a model of territorial development and revitalization to support both the actions of environmental conservation/protection of the landscape on the one hand and, on the other, to promote and enhance the wealth of knowledge and traditions that contribute to the uniqueness of the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni. The project provides a general plan in adherence to common principles of sustainability and a number of specifi c microinterventions that work in some key points of that system to connect the different areas and create a network of various individual actions. The goal is the creation of a Smart Park and to this end we try to encode a model of smartness that involves the entire structure of the Park and recognizes the signifi cant elements, in order to organize all services in an interactive and centralized way. In particular, we choose to act both on natural environment (enhancement of natural sites and safeguarding of ecological corridors) and on man made environment (energy effi ciency, integrated water resources management, sustainable mobility), then using a third dimension, a virtual one (polyhedral maps of use and management), to join the fi rst two and make them work together for the promotion of the local development in a sustainable way. The main idea is to optimize Cilento natural resources, as well as environmental, historical and cultural ones, through the adoption of an ‘integrated approach’ that provides a wide range of possibilities for tourist purposes, adaptable and easily editable according to the tastes and the specifi c interests of different users, in order to produce a wide range of solutions that can attract a broader range of tourist target reference and gain new uncharted market shares.
