Turismo, terme e sviluppo locale in una destinazione emergente: la Basilicata
Il contributo analizza la Basilicata come territorio in evoluzione che negli ultimi decenni ha iniziato a guardare al settore del turismo come volano di sviluppo. Ne descrive risorse naturali e culturali, processi esogeni ed endogeni, attori locali e sistemi di offerta organizzatisi spontaneamente, mettendo in luce l’approccio place-based e la trama di relazioni territoriali alle varie scale hanno uno concorso a superare lo storico isolamento nel Mezzogiorno d’Italia. In questo scenario dinamico, la valorizzazione delle terme di Latronico e Rapolla, siti di pregio per la qualità delle acque e il valore del contesto ambientale in cui si inscrivono, ma ancora scarsamente attrattivi per la domanda nazionale e internazionale, costituisce un elemento utile a rafforzare l’apertura del sistema territoriale alla competizione globale e a integrare quello termale in una pluralità di turismi fondata sul principio della sostenibilità.
Abstract: Tourism, Thermal Bath and Local Development in a New Destination: The Basilicata Region
The paper focuses on the Basilicata as an evolving territory that in recent decades started to look at the tourism sector as a driving force for development. It describes natural and cultural resources, exogenous and endogenous processes, local stakeholders, and spontaneously organized supply system of tourism, highlighting the place-based approach and the texture of territorial relations at various scales that enabled the overcoming of the historical isolation in Southern Italy. In this dynamic scenario, the enhancement of the thermal bath of Latronico and Rapolla, site of great value for the quality of the water and the value of the environmental context in which they are, but still unattractive for national and international demand, is a useful element to strenghten the opening of the territorial system to global competition and to integrate the thermal one into a plurality of tourism based on the principle of sustainability.
Abstrakt: Tourismus, Spa und lokale Entwicklung: Basilikata als neues Reiseziel
Der Beitrag analysiert die Basilikata als sich entwickelndes Gebiet, die in den letzten Jahrzehnten begonnen hat, den Tourismus als treibende Kraft für die Entwicklung zu betrachten. Es beschreibt natürliche und kulturelle Ressourcen, exogene und endogene Prozesse, lokale Schauspieler und Versorgungssysteme, die spontan organisiert sind, und beleuchtet den ortsbezogenen Ansatz und die Darstellung territorialer Beziehungen auf verschiedenen Ebenen, die zur Überwindung der historischen Isolation in Süditalien beigetragen haben. In diesem dynamischen Szenarie ist die Verbesserung das Thermalbad von Latronico und Rapolla, wertvolle Standorte für die Wasserqualität und den Wert des Umweltkontexts, in dem sie eingeschrieben sind, aber für die nationale und internationale Nachfrage kaum attraktiv, ein nützliches Element zur Stärkung Öffnung des territorialen Systems für den globalen Wettbewerb und Integration des thermischen Systems in eine Vielzahl von Tourismusunternehmen auf der Grundlage des Prinzip von ökologische Nachhaltigkeit.
