Arta Terme, stazione termale tradizionale alla ricerca di opportunità di rilancio
Arta Terme, stazione termale della Carnia (Friuli Venezia Giulia) di antiche origini che valorizza le proprietà terapeutiche dell’acqua della sorgente solforosa Pudia, dopo una fase di successo nel corso della seconda metà dell’Ottocento e agli inizi del secolo successivo e un ulteriore positivo rilancio nel secondo dopoguerra, negli ultimi decenni sta attraversando un periodo non facile che ha visto succedersi diverse società di gestione. Ciò ha ritardato l’avvio di una radicale politica di revisione dell’offerta complessiva, funzionalmente da integrare con altre proposte turistiche. Il contributo ripercorre le tappe più significative del termalismo di questa piccola località della montagna friulana, indagandone le caratteristiche e valutandone i punti di forza e le criticità allo scopo di considerare quali possano essere le opportunità di rilancio e di effettivo posizionamento nel mercato nazionale e internazionale dell’offerta termale e/o wellness oriented.
Abstract: Arta Terme, Traditional Spa Seeking Opportunities to Relaunch
Arta Terme, spa town of Carnia (Friuli Venezia Giulia) with ancient origins that enhances the therapeutic properties of the water of the sulphur spring Pudia, after a successful phase during the second half of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the following century and a further positive revival in the second post-war period, in recent decades is going through a not easy period. In fact, several management companies have succeeded each other, delaying the launch of a radical policy to revise the overall supply, which have to be functionally integrated with other tourism proposals. The contribution retraces the most significant stages of the thermal bath of this village in the Friulian Alps, investigating its characteristics, evaluating its strengths and weaknesses, in order to consider what the opportunities for relaunching and positioning within the national and international market of the spa and/or wellness oriented offer could be.
Résumé: Arta Terme, un station thermale traditionnelle à la recherche d’opportunités de revitalisation
Arta Terme, une station thermale de la Carnia (Friuli Venezia Giulia) d’origine ancienne qui met en valeur les propriétés thérapeutiques de l’eau de la source sulfureuse Pudia, après une phase de succès dans la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle et au début du siècle suivant et, enfin, une nouvelle relance positive après la deuxième guerre mondiale, traverse depuis quelques décennies une période difficile qui a vu plusieurs sociétés de gestion. Cela a retardé le début d’une politique radicale de révision de l’offre globale à intégrer fonctionnellement avec d’autres propositions touristiques. La contribution retrace les étapes les plus significatives du thermalisme dans ce village de montagne frioulane, en étudiant ses caractéristiques, en évaluant ses forces et ses faiblesses, afin d’examiner les possibilités de relance et de positionnement efficace sur le marché national et international de l’offre thermale et/ou du wellness oriented.
