Abstract: Umbria between centrality and marginality. Introductory report
The essay, after the necessary presentation of the work during the days, intends to present the geographical overview of the current situation, in order to highlight those constant evolutions to take advantage of aspects that make it a central region more than the ones who amplify aspects of marginalization. Historical and cultural examination follows the analysis of the demographic and socio-economic aspect linked to the territory, the Umbrian one, placed at the Centre of the peninsula but does not exploit the potentiality caused by strong aspects of marginality.
