Abstract: Gender and alienated space
This study focuses on Adalgisa Conti an Italian young woman who spent most of her her life in a psychiatric hospital in the city of Arezzo. Her existence is explored adoping Foucault and Frémont’s concepts through a biographical method within an historical geography perspective. The research provides new geographical insights on issues centered on gender and deprived spaces.
