Abstract: The Thermal Establishments in Eastern Sicily. “Assisted” Thermalism or “Wellness” Thermalism?
The present work focuses on creating an archaeological itinerary of eastern Sicily, on the history and the problems that plague today’s spas, in casts in the traditional schema of care associated with the national health system, and the serious and persistent defi ciencies in infrastructures, preventing a stable tourism and bearer of sustainable economic growth.
