Le principali politiche comunitarie per contrastare l’immigrazione clandestina
Abstract: The Main Community Policies to Oppose the Illegal Immigration
The paper presents a synthesis of main EU policies considering illegal foreign immigrations, starting from the introduction of the so-called ‘community method’, adopted with the Amsterdam Treaty, through to the most recent developments, realized by means of tightened control and surveillance policies on external frontiers, particularly in the Mediterranean area. These actions are coupled with EU choices aimed at a tighter cooperation with third countries originating such migration flows.
Keywords: European Community, Migration Policy, Illegal Immigration.
