Abstract: Treatments and Wellness Between Thermalism and Innovative Tourism in Salento

So far, thermal baths of Salento – Torre Canne in the province of Brindisi, and Santa Cesarea Terme in the province of Lecce – have not played a clear role within the strategies of place promotion and the development of local tourist systems. Although these thermal baths are located in highly evocative landscapes, where it is possible to restore oneself in touch with a genuinely charming environment, little investment has been addressed to the enhancement of health and wellness tourism, which liaises traditional thermalism with beach tourism.
