Not only shopping. Town centre health check in the UK context
Town centres and retailing are rapidly changing and moreover the techniques used lo support decisions need lo be robust
and effectively implemented. Starting from the UK applications in this research a Town Centre Health Check methodology
is identified lo be the process of collecting information on a range of individual vitality and viability indicators. The aim
is lo provide an understanding of how town centres are performing and inform their future direction in an increasingly
competitive environment even in Italian town centres.
