“Scholars and researchers from different disciplines (geography, economics, sociology, urban planning) are strongly encouraged to contribute to the session “Rural-Urban Relationships for a better territorial development” jointly organized by the University Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria and the Institute for Regional Development of Eurac Research.
This special session is organized under the THEMATIC TRACK 4 – Dissolving borders: towards integrated territorial approaches, from smart cities to smart regions.
The Session investigates how new forms of urban and rural inter-relationships may create new opportunities for a better quality of life in rural/mountain /fragile/marginalized territories and reduce social and spatial inequalities. The format is Point/counterpoint debate.
